Begin Your Healing Journey

Does This Sound Like You?

You may be feeling stuck, anxious, or disconnected from yourself and those around you. You may have spent years believing that something is inherently wrong with you or your relationships, without realizing that it could stem from trauma. Are you exhausted from carrying feelings of guilt, inadequacy, or a sense of being out of sync with your own life?

Trauma often hides in plain sight. Whether it’s caused by a single life-altering event or a series of smaller emotional wounds, trauma can leave you feeling lost, broken, or overwhelmed. Many trauma survivors dismiss their struggles, thinking they “shouldn’t” feel this way, all while carrying an invisible weight that quietly impacts every area of their lives.

It is possible to feel different!

You can wake up feeling calmer, more grounded, and connected to yourself. Over time, you may feel lighter, more present, and aligned with what matters most to you. Your relationships can become more authentic, bringing moments of joy and connection.

Trauma often creates disconnection—from yourself, your body, your dreams, and even a sense of spiritual meaning. Healing is about gently reconnecting. It’s about rediscovering yourself, rebuilding trust with your body, reawakening your dreams, and opening up to meaningful relationships and the flow of life.

Through this process, you can feel grounded, present, and aligned with what truly matters. Healing isn’t about erasing the past—it’s about reclaiming your strength and moving forward with clarity and hope.

How I treat Trauma

As a therapist, my mission is to help you heal from trauma and create a life that feels true to you. In our work together, I use evidence-based and holistic approaches to address the roots of your pain and foster lasting transformation.

So how would sessions actually look in reality?

We create a compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative space where we will explore your challenges, rediscover your strengths, passions, and dreams, and work with your thoughts, emotions, and body sensations. This process promotes release, acceptance, empowerment, and clarity. Together, we accept both the good and the harder images and thoughts because they are all important to your story, and we avoid shame and blame as we navigate this journey.

Here’s what you can expect in our sessions:
Brainspotting: A neuroscience-based approach to access and heal deeply held trauma.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A proven method to process and reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories.

Somatic Therapy (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy): Integrates body awareness with emotions to release tension and trauma stored in the body.

Psychodynamic and Jungian Techniques: Explore unconscious patterns influencing your life and discover ways to grow and heal.

Spiritual Insights: Draw from Zen Buddhism, Kabbalah, and mindfulness to deepen self-awareness and foster a sense of meaning and connection.

Why trauma can feel so overwhelming:

Trauma feels so overwhelming because it impacts us on multiple levels, making it difficult to navigate both our inner world and the demands of daily life. Two key elements contribute to this challenge:

  1. Unrecognized Symptoms: Many people don’t realize that their anxiety, relationship struggles, or emotional pain stem from trauma. Instead of understanding the root cause, they internalize the belief that something is inherently wrong with them. This can lead to cycles of self-doubt and fear, keeping them stuck in patterns that feel impossible to break.

  2. Disconnection from Life: When trauma occurs, it often creates a sense of disconnection—a separation from what feels like “normal” life. This can include disconnection from pursuing a career, relationships, motivation, or even a sense of purpose. It’s like being stuck in a cave, isolated from the outside world. The gap between the “cave” and the so-called normal life can create additional overwhelm, fear, and even regression, as stepping out feels both frightening and unattainable.

Understanding trauma means helping individuals see that their symptoms have a root and a cause. This understanding is the first step toward healing. The next step is to gently and compassionately help them reconnect—moving out of the disconnected “cave” and into a more integrated life that aligns with their authentic needs. This process isn’t about conforming to society’s ideas of success but about helping individuals rediscover their own sense of fulfillment and connection on their terms.
